Hey all.

Starting GW back up again and am looking to steadily albeit slowly work my way up to the legendary obsidian armor.

I have all the campaigns and the majority of skills/gear for the core classes, and many skills for the assassin.

So, where would be a good place to farm that provides a steady income by selling the drops to merchants, or the occasional unid gold drops to a player?

I've made over 100k already just doing CoF runs with a hero for other players, but I'm looking for something that I can just mindlessly run in 5 mins or so when I get a chance instead of having a time commitment to others.

Please, let me know, and if possible provide a link to a guide or explain in moderate detail the build and where I have to go etc.

I've checked the forums already and have seen things where someone just says, go farm Bergen, which is not too helpful if you don't know what that entails.

Oh and it takes 15 minutes to 20 minutes so I think you might be able to pull it off

But this would be one of those farming things that depend on a fair amount of chance for you to make money.

I have farmed the UW many times in the past only to turn up empty handed and 1000 gold out of my pockets.

Relying on ecto dropping is not what I would consider a steady income, but ty.

Perhaps I should provide an example of what I am looking for?

Back when GW was pretty new, I used to enjoy going to the Crystal Desert and cyclone axe-ing griffons for their wings, decent pure gold drops, and they also seemed to drop gold and purple items with regularity. To top it off, this could be done in about 5 minutes.

Little brain power needed combined with decent profit even when the golds and purples didn't drop made it an ideal spot, for me and for many others I would assume.

So, is there anywhere like that that exists in the game still today?

i'm pretty sure any form of farming for drops will rely heavily on chance...
if you want a steady income that isn't based on chance drops you can perform services for people (running things). if you don't have time for CoF wait until you do or run something shorter.

not really loot scaling has more or less killed what you are talking about best bet is bergen hot spring on a 55 monk in hm u can regularly get around 1.5k and a few gold a run basically u head out of the out post and go left and repeat

Agreeing with Rhamia, CoF is probably the best way to make money if you want consistency. You can make 13.5k+drops and gold in an hour.

I would still suggest UW solo runs with the sin, thought you can get a very small or very large amount, in the end, it generally levels off and you get an average amount. Yes, there is luck in it, but all farming requires some degree of luck. Generrally you should walk away with 1 ecto and you shouldn't be paying 1k for the entrance fees because scrolls are 200g less (a small gain, but still thats a 20% discount).

If not then try worm farming or farming for alcohol with stoneroy kilrin

I strongly suggest glacial farming with the vetirs. It doesn't pay much, but its easy, find the thread its there somewhere in the farming thread. D-core farming was great, but that was nerfed

It's mindless too. If that's what you're looking for. Good steady income if you don't mind the repetitiveness.

You kurziks suck. Some day they will nerf your hfff, or give the luxons something similar.

Anywho... another couple farms you might consider use a perma-sin build:

1) to kill vermin and the vermin boss (NM and HM both work), or
2) to kill the feathered friends inside the Nahpui Quarter mission. (I recommend NM for this one since the object of the farm is anywhere from 100-300 feathers, which drop as much in NM as they do in HM).

zkeys have been a steady source of income for me

AB or trap zaishen elite for quick faction. ~5k per key

otherwise, i do the bergen 55 HM run or the stone elemental run outside of Ascalon.

loot scaling has owned farming though, the only thing worth farming now is items and merching loot usually nets crap.

i've gained ~100k from zkeys in about a week, and my play time is probably less than 12 hours a week nowadays.

Luxons do have one, out side Jade Flats. It just takes about 30 sec longer to do and requires a little more of a challenge in managing heroes.

Given the last update, can the sin still burning speed UW farm, or is only sliver that works now?

Trying to make the time I spend in gw these days worth it, and I'd prefer to not have to get my assasin EBSoH and Aura of superiority.

Still works. You'll have to put the mindblades next to eachother tho since they now attack ranged.
Oh, and the run will probably take twice as long.
